Rashidat Olayinka Idris is the Founder and Executive Director of Rolak Foundation, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, and Public Administration degree holder.
Her passion for helping vulnerable children grew from her own life experiences and a deep desire to ensure that every child receives the dignity, care, opportunity, and love they deserve.
Read Her StoryGrowing up, I experienced profound emotional pain and circumstances that left deep wounds. Those experiences taught me early how deeply a child can be affected when love, care, security, and opportunity are missing. They became part of the reason I developed such a strong desire to see children treated with dignity, compassion and love.
Today, I am a degree holder in Public Administration, Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. While raising my children and building my businesses, including my beauty salon and beauty product lines, I have been blessed to experience growth and opportunity. I believe those blessings are not meant to stop with me.
When I returned to Nigeria over the years, I saw that many children were still facing challenges that reminded me of what I witnessed growing up—children without adequate school supplies, proper facilities, and sometimes even the basic necessities they deserve.
That is where Rolak Foundation was born: from a desire to turn my experiences into purpose and to give children something I deeply believe every child deserves—hope, dignity, opportunity, and love.
Our work begins from the very start of life, reaching newborns in maternity homes and hospitals with items such as hooded towels and blankets, and continues through educational support, school supplies, school improvement projects, and other practical initiatives that help children thrive.
I may not be able to change everything, but I can change something. The love I once longed for is the love I now choose to give.
Through Rolak Foundation, my hope is to leave a legacy of compassion and to remind every child we serve that they matter, their future matters, and they are not forgotten.

Our Directors bring professional experience, compassion, leadership and a shared commitment to advancing the mission and vision of Rolak Foundation.
Favour Olagunju is an experienced healthcare professional with over three decades of clinical and community nursing experience. She currently serves as a Child Immunisation Nurse with an NHS Trust in the United Kingdom.
She is also a Pastor, charity leader, church planter, and experienced foster carer, with a strong passion for children, families, community service, and faith-based outreach.
Favour holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing Studies and is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM), with additional qualifications in family planning and fostering. She is also a director of several organizations in the UK and Nigeria.
Her diverse experience in healthcare, child welfare, charity, leadership, and community service brings valuable knowledge and perspective to the work of Rolak Foundation.
Valerie E. Kelso is an author, international speaker, licensed medical massage therapist, educator, mentor, and humanitarian dedicated to helping individuals discover their value and transform their lives.
As the Founder of Val-u-U Heal • Speak • Transform, Valerie promotes holistic wellness, self-care, personal development, leadership, and faith-based encouragement. Her work focuses on helping individuals heal, build resilience, recognize their worth, and move forward with purpose.
With a powerful voice in speaking, wellness education, and mentorship, she inspires individuals and communities to transform their lives with purpose.
Through her writing, speaking, mentorship, and community service, Valerie brings a compassionate perspective to Rolak Foundation as a Director, supporting the Foundation's mission to inspire hope, dignity, and positive transformation in the lives of children and families.
Everything we do at Rolak Foundation is centered on one purpose: helping children from infancy through elementary school receive the basic support, educational resources, and safe environments they need to grow and thrive.
We help children access the basic resources they need to learn and succeed in school. Our support includes writing materials, school bags, uniforms, shoes, and other essential educational supplies for children in need.
We support newborn babies and infants by providing essential items that help welcome and care for them during their earliest days. This includes items such as receiving blankets provided to clinics and hospitals for newborn babies.
We provide basic necessities that can make a meaningful difference in a child's everyday life, including clothing, shoes, school supplies, bags, and other essential items based on the needs of the children we serve.
We believe children deserve safe and appropriate places to learn. We support projects that improve the environments where children spend their school days, including providing or constructing essential facilities such as toilets for elementary schools.
At Rolak Foundation, we believe that sometimes changing a child's life begins with something simple — a school bag, a pair of shoes, a blanket for a newborn, a writing book, or a safe place to learn.
